Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the One Tap Payment Solutions website and any services provided by One Tap Payment Solutions (“we”, “us”, “our”), an authorised partner of Shift4 for the distribution of Shift4 EPOS and payment solutions in the United Kingdom.

By accessing our website or enquiring about our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our website or services.

About Our Services

One Tap Payment Solutions operates as an authorised partner and reseller of Shift4 payment solutions, including Shift4 One and Shift4 Dine, which are manufactured and supported by Shift4. We provide:

  • Card payment terminals and EPOS hardware and software solutions
  • Payment processing services facilitated through Shift4
  • Installation, training, and ongoing support services
  • Consultation and advisory services for payment and hospitality technology
 
Important: All payment processing, merchant accounts, and financial services are provided directly by Shift4. One Tap Payment Solutions acts as an intermediary and authorised partner not as the direct provider of payment services.

Pricing Terms & Conditions

3.1 Hardware Pricing

The Shift4 Dine free bundle (comprising POS workstation, cash drawer, integrated card terminal, and thermal printer) is available subject to approval and a minimum 12-month service contract.

  • Kitchen Display Systems (KDS) are not included in the free bundle and are available at additional cost.
  • One Shift4 One device is provided free per location; additional devices are charged at the rate quoted at time of agreement.
  • Hardware availability and specifications may vary. All hardware remains the property of Shift4 until the contract term is fulfilled where applicable.

3.2 Transaction Fees

Transaction fees are bespoke and calculated based on your monthly processing volume, business type, average transaction value, and risk profile.

  • We do not publish fixed transaction fee rates. All rates are quoted individually following assessment.
  • Quoted rates are subject to approval by Shift4 and may be adjusted based on underwriting review.
  • Additional fees may apply for chargebacks, refunds, international cards, and certain card types.

3.3 Software & Subscription Fees

  • Monthly software fees vary based on the package selected and number of terminals.
  • The Shift4 Dine bundle starts from £39 per month. Final pricing is confirmed at time of agreement.
  • Premium features, integrations, and add-ons may incur additional monthly charges.
  • Prices are subject to annual review and may be adjusted with 30 days’ written notice.

Contract Terms

4.1 Contract Duration

  • Shift4 Dine (EPOS system) contracts are for a minimum term of 12 months from the date of installation.
  • Shift4 One contracts are for a minimum term of 18 months from the date of installation.
  • Free hardware offers require commitment to the minimum contract term.
  • Early termination may result in fees equivalent to the remaining contract value, or return or purchase of hardware at market rates.

4.2 Termination

  • Either party may terminate with 30 days’ written notice after the minimum contract term has been completed.
  • Shift4 reserves the right to terminate for breach of terms, suspected fraud, or failure to pay.
  • Upon termination, hardware must be returned in good working condition where applicable.

4.3 Cooling-Off Period

Business-to-business contracts are not subject to consumer cooling-off regulations. However, we encourage you to review all terms carefully before signing. Any concerns should be raised prior to installation.

  • Competitor pricing, features, and specifications cited on our website are accurate as of the date stated and are sourced from publicly available information.
  • We recommend verifying current competitor offerings directly with those providers before making decisions.
  • Pricing and features of third-party providers may change without notice to us.
  • Comparisons are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute warranties about competitor services.

  • Customer testimonials reflect individual experiences and opinions at the time of submission.
  • Names may be abbreviated or pseudonymised for privacy protection where requested.
  • Results, savings, and performance metrics cited are specific to individual businesses and may not be typical.
  • Savings percentages and efficiency improvements depend on prior systems, business type, staff training, location, and implementation quality.
  • We do not guarantee that any customer will achieve the same or similar results.

Promotional Offers & Cashback Terms

7.1 £100 Transaction Milestone Cashback

  • Eligible customers may receive £100 cashback upon processing £1,000 in card transactions through their Shift4 system.
  • Customer responsibility: It is the customer’s sole responsibility to notify One Tap Payment Solutions when the £1,000 transaction milestone has been reached.
  • Proof required: Cashback claims must be accompanied by satisfactory proof of transaction volume (e.g. merchant statement or Shift4 back-office dashboard screenshot).
  • Claims must be submitted within 60 days of reaching the milestone.
  • One cashback payment per merchant account. Not combinable with other transaction-based offers unless explicitly stated.

7.2 General Promotional Terms

  • All promotional offers are subject to availability and may be withdrawn or modified at any time without prior notice.
  • Cashback payments are made via bank transfer to the account holder named on the merchant agreement.
  • One Tap Payment Solutions reserves the right to request additional verification before processing any cashback claim.
  • Promotional offers apply to new customers only unless otherwise specified.
  • In the event of early contract termination, any cashback received may be subject to recovery.

7.3 £200 Same-Day Sign-Up Cashback

  • Customers who complete their service agreement on the same day as their initial consultation or demonstration are eligible for £200 cashback.
  • Payment timing: Cashback is payable after 3 calendar months of active service from the installation date.
  • Service level requirement: The customer must maintain agreed service levels throughout the 3-month qualifying period, including:
    • Active use of the Shift4 system for payment processing
    • Account in good standing with no outstanding payments
    • Compliance with the terms of the service agreement
  • Void conditions: Failure to actively use the system, account suspension, or breach of service agreement terms will render this offer null and void.
  • “Same day” is defined as signing the service agreement within 24 hours of the scheduled consultation.
  • This offer cannot be claimed retrospectively and must be confirmed at the time of sign-up.

  • Aggregate ratings displayed on our website refer to Shift4’s global rating, aggregated across multiple platforms including Trustpilot, Google, and industry surveys.
  • These ratings represent the parent company’s global performance and Shift4’s broader partner network, not exclusively One Tap Payment Solutions.
  • Individual review platforms should be consulted for current ratings and the most recent customer reviews.
  • Transaction volume claims (e.g. global transaction figures) refer to Shift4’s worldwide operations.

Performance Claims & Metrics

  • Claims regarding time savings, efficiency improvements, and cost reductions are based on customer-reported data and information provided by Shift4.
  • Actual results vary significantly based on venue type, size, prior systems, staff adoption, and operational practices.
  • Installation timeframes are targets and may vary based on location, complexity, and stock availability.
  • Uptime guarantees and response times are subject to the terms of your specific service agreement with Shift4.

Intellectual Property

  • Shift4 and associated logos are registered trademarks of Shift4 Payments, LLC.
  • One Tap Payment Solutions uses these trademarks under authorisation as an official Shift4 partner.

  • Third-party logos and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
  • Unauthorised reproduction or commercial use of any content on this website is prohibited.

Limitation of Liability

  • One Tap Payment Solutions acts as an authorised partner and intermediary. Primary liability for hardware, software, and payment processing rests with Shift4.
  • We provide no warranties beyond those explicitly stated in your service agreement.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, One Tap Payment Solutions shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of our services.
  • Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

Data Protection & Privacy

We process personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. By submitting enquiries through our website, you consent to our processing of your data for the purposes of responding to your enquiry and providing relevant services.

  • Lead information may be shared with Shift4 for underwriting, account setup, and service provision.
  • We do not sell personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
